Hello folks, I have a couple of bunny patterns on this blog already but I was still working on making the ideal one. (Psst, tons of rabbit patterns on the internet already) And I am finally settled with this one and it makes me so happy that my daughter plays with this toy almost everyday. My daughter, is three years old now and she loves playing dress up, and this little bunny is ideal for anyone that age. And I want everyone to be able to share the joy I have watching my girl play with it. Also, this rabbit was a best seller at a stall where I first sold my handmade items, so I figured it was a crowd favorite and knew it needs a pattern on the blog.
To crochet this bunny rabbit amigurumi you will need.
- Yardley Five Star – 4 ply yarn in an off-white color. Feel free to use 8 ply acrylic/cotton yarn as well. I’m sure only the finished size might vary a little bit.
- Crochet hook size: 2.5mm
- Safety eyes.
- Fiberfill for stuffing.
- Tapestry needles to sew it all together.
Abbreviations:
Note: The body and legs of this bunny rabbit are crocheted in one piece, joined in the course of crocheting. The entire project is worked in continuous rounds using a stitch marker. If I have used a colon (:) in between the rounds it means you have single crochet for those rounds without any increase or decrease.
- ch = chain stitch
- st = stitch
- sc = single crochet
- inc = increase (2sc in one stitch)
- invdec = invisble decrease (2sc together)
- sl st = slip stitch
Now, you can start crocheting with the bunny’s head, then the legs and body, then arms and finally the ears. For the bunny rabbit’s clothes that can be changed, check this blog post.
