Dinosaur amigurumi/crochet in a day

Hello ladies/gentlemen, I’m not going to lie it took me roughly 4-5 hours to come up with a pattern and complete this dinosaur and that’s why you should start making this right away to have a cute little dinosaur amigurumi waiting at your desk. Or if you have a baby girl/boy they are going to run around the house screaming “Rawr, dinosaur” with your newly made toy. So let’s get right on to the pattern without wasting any more time.

To crochet this dinosaur amigurumi you will need.

  1. Yardley Five Star – 4 ply yarn in green
  2. Crochet hook size: 2.5mm
  3. Safety eyes.
  4. Fiberfill for stuffing.
  5. Tapestry needles to sew it all together.

Dinosaur’s head

Round 1: Magic Circle, 6sc into the circle & then pull it close. (6)
Round 2: 2sc in each sc around. (12)
Round 3: [sc in the sc, 2sc in the next sc] * 6 times. (18)
Round 4: [sc in the next 2sc, 2sc in the next sc] * 6 times. (24)
Round 5: sc around. (24)
Round 6: sc around. (24)
Round 7: sc around. (24)
Round 8: sc around. (24)
Round 9: [sc in the next 2sc, dec] * 6 times. (18)
Round 10: [sc in the next sc, dec] * 6 times. (12)
Round 11: [dec] * 6 times. (6)

Make sure you pinch the head while you stuff to make it look like in the picture. What I would suggest you do is, go to the beginning of Round 4, take black color embroidery floss in a needle and pinch the head where you want the dinosaurs eyes and go back and forth with the needle between where the two eyes would appear. Once the head is nice and cinched, then glue/sew the eyes in that spot. Then using yellow yarn make a mouth near Round 8.
